Psalm 8:3-4 God Made The Moon

Psalm 8:3-4 God Made The Moon

3 When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers,
The moon and the stars, which You have ordained,
What is man that You are mindful of him,
And the son of man that You visit him?”

Psalm 8:3-4

Tomorrow is a historic day in America, the day when mankind returns to the moon.

It’s been 50 years since a human being walked on the moon.

Eugene Cernan was the last man on the moon. During his record 22 hours and 6 minutes outside the Apollo 17 lunar module, the famed astronaut managed to drive the lunar rover roughly a mile away from the LM so that the video camera he setup (and left behind) could capture the takeoff the next day.

Next, he knelt and etched his daughter Tracy’s initials – T D C – into the lunar dust where it remains today.

Other astronauts prayed while on the moon, read scripture and even took communion in reverence of God’s magnificence.

All 29 astronauts who were involved in traveling to the moon were, of all things, Christians.

It turns out 23 of them were Protestants and the other six were Catholic.

It’s a documented fact that most NASA astronauts were serving as church leaders in their congregation before, and even more so after their lunar adventures.

But the times, they are a changing.

NASA is now using tax payer money to send the first woman to the moon, the first black person to the moon and more incendiary, the first LGBTQ person to the moon in spite of push back from US tax payers.

The problem is, tax payers (and other seasoned mission specialists) would rather have the best candidates board or pilot a space ship than a 2nd place political pawn.

Will God Bless Or Curse The Artemis Mission?

Just because there will be skeptics on board Artemis, as there have been countless unbelievers along the space exploration journey, it will be up to the almighty Creator to either bless, or curse the Artemis mission to the moon.

After all, God created the moon and all that’s in the Universe for that matter.

And so it is with a heart filled with hope that I pray to our heavenly Father to watch over those space travelers who will endeavor to go to the Moon, and beyond.

Father God;
We thank you for your presence in our lives,
We praise you Lord for the wisdom found through David,
And we ask you Lord to help us find joy in your perfect plan.

Allow us to praise and love each other through faith in you Jesus,
Shield us from evil through your Word, salvation and prayer,
Guide us to abide by the truth as we spread the good news to one and all,
And lead the lost to You.

God we pray that you will continue to bless us,
To bless our lives and fill us with hope.
We ask you Lord to guide our footsteps and lead us to the way everlasting,
Through faith in you Lord we seek salvation and our place with you in Heaven
According to your ways, your everlasting wisdom and strength.

May your will be done, here on Earth and through the vast Universe,
May our hearts be filled with your everlasting love and grace.
Praises to You God, Amen!
