Broad is the Road that Leads to Hell

Broad is the road that leads to hell. Many of you are unknowingly headed in the wrong direction. This week’s message focuses on those who are sincere about their faith and beliefs but clueless as to the truth. Anyone is likely to believe a lie until they are faced with the truth however it takes an intelligent person to decipher truth from lies when faced with facts.

This message features facts that outline the truth about Jesus Christ and, clues about cults that offer empty promises.

The first undeniable truth is most cult like religions acknowledge the fact Jesus Christ did exist and that He was blameless (or sinless), that He performed miracles and that He was a gifted prophet. Jews, Muslims, Mormons, Catholics and even atheists all agree on this.

The second undeniable truth is that most cults limit the deity of Jesus Christ, agreeing to the terms listed in the first truth above however each cult states that Jesus was NOT the son of God.

Adversely Christianity praise the Lord for His eternal deity and reign over all the earth as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

The third truth involves the fact cults rely on a single person’s point of view and/or his interpretation of the bible, book of Mormons or Catholic doctrine, either Joseph Smith, the prophet Mohamed or the Pope.

Christianity however relies on the testimony of the twelve apostles, Paul being one of them. True believers rely on the fact Jesus was persecuted and hung from a cross for no reason what so ever other than healing on the sabbath. Jesus Christ was killed because He lovingly laid His hands on people who were hopeless.

10 On a Sabbath Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues, 11 and a woman was there who had been crippled by a spirit for eighteen years. She was bent over and could not straighten up at all. 12 When Jesus saw her, he called her forward and said to her, “Woman, you are set free from your infirmity.” 13 Then he put his hands on her, and immediately she straightened up and praised God. 14 Indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, the synagogue ruler said to the people, “There are six days for work. So come and be healed on those days, not on the Sabbath.” 15 The Lord answered him, “You hypocrites! Doesn’t each of you on the Sabbath untie his ox or donkey from the stall and lead it out to give it water? 16 Then should not this woman, a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has kept bound for eighteen long years, be set free on the Sabbath day from what bound her?” 17 When he said this, all his opponents were humiliated, but the people were delighted with all the wonderful things he was doing.” (Luke 13:10-17)

It was shortly after this miraculous healing that Jesus was brought to Herod to be judged then crucified. Jesus was nailed to a cross because He helped someone in need.

How could a worthy, mighty God allow Himself to be humiliated, to be tortured and killed publicly without reason? He allowed this to happen so that prophecy would be fulfilled, the very prophecy that is found in all cults and religions.

He died so we could live. Jesus Christ died and on the third day, He was risen as prophesied.

Are you so callous or skeptic you are not allowing yourself to hear the truth? Are you so deeply convinced by lies that God has all but given up on you? Are you like king Herod, waiting to personally witness a miracle in order to believe?

8 When Herod saw Jesus, he was greatly pleased, because for a long time he had been wanting to see him. From what he had heard about him, he hoped to see him perform some miracle. 9 He plied him with many questions, but Jesus gave him no answer.” (Luke 23:8-9)

If you need a miracle to believe, you have no faith. Without faith, you are dead. Without faith, you are on the road to hell.

Based on the undeniable truths listed at the beginning of this message and the fact they are in clear contradiction of the basis of Christianity (a relationship with Jesus Christ and acceptance He is the son of God and redeemer of our sins), you must agree with the following statement:

Either all the cults have it right, or one cult is right, or Christianity is truth. They cannot all be right. The next question is an obvious one, which road are you on?

13 Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” (Matthew 7:13-14)

5 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?” 6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:5-6)

The road that leads to hell is broad in deed. The good news is that you can choose to step off that road and walk the path that leads to eternal life in heaven by following in Jesus’ footsteps. The bad news is there is a price to pay for salvation, persecution, suffering and even death.

To inherit the great rewards that come with the gift of eternal life one must be ready to become more like Christ, to become a servant, to finish last. Many are called but few are chosen, which are you?

I invite you to ponder over the questions herein and to forward any concern you have so you too can find out the truth about Jesus Christ, son of God and redeemer of all sin. Feel free to call on this ministry for prayer, for purpose and guidance that will help you as you walk the narrow path that leads to heaven. Let’s pray.

Father God;
We thank you for your blessings in our lives
And for inspiring us to seek shelter in you,
We thank you for keeping your promises
And for inviting us to rejoice with you in heaven.

Lord father we pray that you will continue to look over us,
Our families, our friends and those in need
And that you will feed those spiritually hungry,
Guiding them to walk the narrow path that leads to heaven.

Lord we thank you for your love, your strength and your promise
We praise you father for your word the bible,
For all that is in it and all it’s prophecies
That came true and that will come true until your return.

God we ask you to bless those who believe in you
And inspire those who do not,
For they continue to be blinded by darkness
And cannot see your light everlasting.

Praise God,
Amen!
