1 Corinthians 16:14 Loving Others By Faith

1 Corinthians 16:14 Loving Others By Faith

14 Do everything in love.”

1 Corinthians 16:14

Everything?

I can think of a few things I would certainly have trouble doing in love…

And, that’s precisely why God put this verse in His word. To remind us.

Remind us of His love for us, the kind of love that’s perfect and unconditional.

The kind of love that’s deep enough to lead a man to a cross, where death awaits.

Jesus loved us so much, He died for us.

And in His word, He calls on us to do everything in love, just as He did when He walked among us.

What exactly does it mean to “do everything in love?”

Well, it’s actually a lot easier said than done. Because, everything also encompasses passive actions, like listening, praying and even enduring pain…for God’s glory.

So, good luck.

Yes. That all folks.

God gives us the tools, the people and He puts us in the places where we need to be to fulfill our mission.

Look to His word, His songs, His people and His ways. There, you will find what you need to do everything in love.

Father God;
We thank you for your presence in our lives,
We praise you Lord for the wisdom bestowed upon Paul and John,
And we ask you Lord to help us find joy in your perfect plan.

Allow us to praise and love each other through faith in you Jesus,
Shield us from evil through your Word, salvation and prayer,
Guide us to abide by the truth as we spread the good news to one and all,
And lead the lost to You.

God we pray that you will continue to bless us,
To bless our lives and fill us with hope.
We ask you Lord to guide our footsteps and lead us to the way everlasting,
Through faith in you Lord we seek salvation and our place with you in Heaven
According to your ways, your everlasting wisdom and strength.

May your will be done, here on Earth and through the vast Universe,
May our hearts be filled with your everlasting love and grace.
Praises to You God, Amen!
