False Prophets, Dogs and Pigs

In a decaying society headed for destruction, it has become increasingly difficult to ignore the obvious presence of evil all around us. More than ever before, the world is bombarded with greed, pride and temptation.

The bible warns believers of one of the most damaging part of this sinful invasion which involve false prophets. Earlier this week during a conversation with a self-proclaimed ‘minister’ I was shocked to hear about a ministry based on greed. Rob explained his ministry’s mission was to help people ‘get anything they wanted’ through a multilevel marketing organization. Rob’s bottom line was “the more money you have, the more you can do for others.”

While financial wealth can certainly be a contributing factor in spreading the word of God, it should never be at the forefront of anyone’s mission. No believer is commanded to focus mainly on money rather God’s children are expected to serve Him by obeying His commandments none of which include making money.

What troubles me most about minister Rob is the fact he proudly admits he’s not born again, boasts that he does not have a relationship with Jesus Christ and in pure blasphemy, denies there is such a place as hell. Rob’s false teachings will surely come at a price no one can afford.

Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them. “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!” (Matthew 7:15-23)

I gave Rob a chance to hear about God’s magnificence through my testimony but he declined my invitation telling me I was wasting my time because he had reached a higher level of consciousness.

As I recognized greed, then denial and finally blasphemy, I found myself reminded of the following verse:

Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and then turn and tear you to pieces.” (Matthew 7:6)

The truth of the matter is not everyone can be saved. As witnesses we must ready ourselves for the inevitable fact that many among the lost will never be found. Those are the dogs and pigs not deserving of our time, our testimony or the word of God which they rebuke with grave consequence.

When Herod saw Jesus, he was greatly pleased, because for a long time he had been wanting to see him. From what he had heard about him, he hoped to see him perform some miracle. He plied him with many questions, but Jesus gave him no answer.” (Luke 23:8-9)

Remembering that our mission is to spread God’s word and to obey His commands, as we mature as Christians we will gain wisdom that will allow us to recognize the dogs and pigs that surround us. We are called to distance ourselves from such individuals to avoid exposure to the enemy.

Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? What does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God.” (2 Corinthians 6:14-16)

The world and those in it will continue to rot in a stench of sulfur that will last all eternity. False prophets and unbelievers alike will surely weep as they choke on their life’s inheritance while God’s children rejoice in heaven with the almighty father and son.

Seek the truth by dwelling in God’s word the bible remembering God’s grace is the only way to heaven. No earthly wealth can ever achieve anything without the Lord’s blessings. Beware of anyone that preaches anything not found in the bible. Allow the spirit to guide your footsteps and ready yourselves for the dogs and pigs that are not deserving of the treasure you have been gracefully blessed with.

This ministry’s bottom line is this: If it’s not biblical, it’s of the enemy. Let’s pray!

Father God;
We thank you for your blessings and for your strength
We praise your holy name and invite you to guide us
,
As we continue to serve you and spread your word
To all those who will listen with an open heart.

Lord father we pray you will look after us on our journey
And watch over our friends, our families,
And most importantly, that you answer the prayers
Of those who seek and reach out to you.

God we thank you for looking after us each day
And blessing us with all that we have and all that we are,
We pray you will keep us from evil and from the temptation
Brought on by the enemy and his soldiers.

Thank you Lord father for all that surrounds us!

Praise God,
Amen!
