I just returned from Cocoa Beach where I spent the day Surfing under stormy skies. Since I live out on the West coast this meant a two and a half hour drive each way which consumed much of the day. This helped me realize how dedicated I was seeing how I was ready to drive 5 hours only to spend 3 in the water actually Surfing.
Why not spend more time Surfing then? I mean it is Sunday!
The answer to that is a simple one: Because I have more important things to do! One of which being serve our Lord.
I don’t spend the entire day worshiping, however I do begin each Sunday with Doctor Schuller watching “The Hour of Power” where I get inspired to be the best I can be through God. I usually follow-up with either the beach, or on rainy days, the tube. I love Sunday television, car racing, football, you name it! I always close out Sunday nights with Online Church Service at Saddleback where I get to recharge my batteries and ready myself for the week ahead…
And so, my Sundays being carved in stone, there was only so much time for Surfing today. I am glad to see I’ve grown into a man with such eloquent priorities.

I, am God’s child and am blessed to enjoy his gifts to all of us. I put God first and last and have Fun in between. This is my recipe for peace, happiness and a purpose driven life. I hope your plan includes our Lord and rewarding times as well.

We thank you for all that surrounds us, for your love.
We pray you will continue to bless us as you have Today and every day
So that we may live to serve you in this life.
Lord please look after our friends and families
That they too are blessed as we are,
And guide our enemies and foes to walk in your footsteps
Seeing them through to Eternal Life as only you can
Using your word, your wisdom and us, your children.
God, we thank you for your forgiveness in our sins
And ask you give us strength to keep worshiping you each day
But most of all on your holy Day placing you high above
All other things of the Earth.
Father bless us with your love and your magnificence
That we may enjoy your creations all around us
And inspire others to do the same each day.
