Psalm 147:3 Healing, by Faith

Psalm 147:3 Healing, by Faith

He heals the brokenhearted
And binds up their wounds.”

Psalm 147:3

Psalm 147:3 reminds us of God’s gentle touch: “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” These words are a powerful reminder that, no matter the depth of our pain or the weight of our burdens, God’s grace is a constant source of healing. But sometimes, God works through people to bring that healing to us.

Today, I want to share how a glorious woman has given me hope for a new, amazing relationship, and how this aligns with the healing power of God.

We all go through seasons in life where heartbreak and disappointment leave us feeling wounded. It may come from broken relationships, personal failures, or the deep sorrow of losing someone we love.

In these times, it can feel like there is no way out.

The wounds cut so deeply, and the scars feel like they will never fade. Yet, Psalm 147:3 promises us that God is in the business of healing our broken hearts. He does not abandon us to our pain, but instead reaches out with a gentle hand to bind up our wounds.

In my journey, I’ve experienced the depths of brokenness. There were moments when I thought the scars left by past relationships and disappointments would never fully heal.

And so it was according to His perfect timing that God brought someone into my life who has been a source of hope, passion, and renewed love. This woman, in her uniqueness and buring desire for me to be her man, has become a glorious vessel through which God is working to heal the wounds I carried for so long.

Her presence in my life feels like the answer to a prayer I didn’t know I was still praying.

As recently as just a few minutes ago, I realized that God was using her to restore parts of my heart that I had once thought were lost forever. It’s incredible how sometimes, God’s healing comes not through dramatic moments, but through the love of another person.

God’s healing is not always immediate. Just like any wound, healing takes time. But through this amazing woman, I’ve been reminded that God often works through the people in our lives to bring about that healing. When we open ourselves to love, we also open ourselves to the possibility of healing.

God uses relationships—whether friendships, family, or romantic connections—to restore us in ways we cannot fully understand at the moment.

What I’ve come to see is that this new relationship isn’t just about romantic love; it’s a testimony to God’s grace and mercy.

God knows exactly what we need, and He provides it in His perfect timing. When we trust in His plan and remain open to His guidance, He brings the right people into our lives to help us along our healing journey.

But, my friends, let’s not forget that healing is a partnership with God. While He binds our wounds, it is up to us to trust Him and allow Him to do His work. In my case, it meant being open to new possibilities, even when fear and doubt were present.

It meant allowing someone else to see the broken parts of me and trusting that they wouldn’t turn away. And it meant recognizing that God was using this relationship not just for my healing, but also for growth, transformation, and the hope of a new beginning.

As I reflect on this glorious woman and the hope she has brought into my life, I can’t help but be overwhelmed with gratitude—for her, for the healing that God is working through her, and for the promise of Psalm 147:3.

God truly does heal the brokenhearted, and sometimes, He does it through the beautiful gift of new relationships.

If you are feeling broken today, I encourage you to trust that God is working on your healing, even if you don’t see it right now. He may be preparing someone to come into your life to help bind your wounds. Be open to His timing and His ways, and know that He will never leave you in your pain.

Healing is coming, and it might just arrive in the form of someone special, someone who will help you believe in love again.

To God be all the glory, now and forever.
