Psalm 119:88 Revived By Faith

Psalms 119:88 Revived By Faith

88 Revive me according to Your lovingkindness,
So that I may keep the testimony of Your mouth.”

Psalm 119:88

We all fall short of God’s glory.

The good news is, we can be forgiven and lifted up by the One who created us.

It’s no secret the love of God is there to comfort and support us under all sorts of afflictions.

Like His grace, God’s love carries us through the challenges of this life, as faith and hope guide us along the narrow path that leads to Heaven.

What is loving-kindness?

The word is believed to have been created by Miles Coverdale in his 1535 translation of the Bible, in an attempt to translate the fullness of God’s mercy upon those who transgress Him, to no end.

Coverdale used the word loving-kindness to describe God’s steadfast love and desire for us to find joy in bringing Him glory with our lives.

Fact is, God wants us to love Him, and to seek Him each and every day. He wants us to live in Him.

Dwelling in God does have privileges.

When I am in God, I aware of His presence and I make the right choices. When I am seeking God, I am in His Word and become more like Jesus, humble and reverent. When I am filled with God’s hope, I feel strong and courageous, powerful and invincible.

The truth is, I don’t hear anyone share their Netflix binge watching experiences as humbling yet powerful, or reverent and courageous at the same time.

On the flip side, most servants of God will be first in line to praise Him for their experiences, for their lives. True believers are grateful for what they have, and like the Lord Himself, they leave a trail of loving-kindness along their divinely appointed path.

Are your works recognized as selfish, or merciful? Are you a person who helps others, or do others help you more often than not?

It is my hope and prayer you will pour out God’s living-kindness onto others as it’s been showered onto you, and leave a glorious trail of love, and kindness.

Father God;
We thank you for your presence in our lives,
We praise you Lord for the wisdom found through David,
And we ask you Lord to help us find joy in your perfect plan.

Allow us to praise and love each other through faith in you Jesus,
Shield us from evil through your Word, salvation and prayer,
Guide us to abide by the truth as we spread the good news to one and all,
And lead the lost to You.

God we pray that you will continue to bless us,
To bless our lives and fill us with hope.
We ask you Lord to guide our footsteps and lead us to the way everlasting,
Through faith in you Lord we seek salvation and our place with you in Heaven
According to your ways, your everlasting wisdom and strength.

May your will be done, here on Earth and through the vast Universe,
May our hearts be filled with your everlasting love and grace.
Praises to You God, Amen!
