Psalm 119:15 Meditating With God

Psalm 119-15 Meditating with God

“I meditate on your precepts and consider your ways. “

Psalm 119:15

In recent weeks, I have immersed myself in songs of worship, studied God’s Word and I have to admit, I have not been able to hear His voice as clearly as I have in the past.

I’ve been praying and sitting still, waiting on His voice.

To be certain it’s His voice I hear, I dwell in His Word daily.

Recently, I find myself praying for God’s plan to be in tune with mine, rather than call on Him to anoint me with everything I need to execute His perfect plan…

But God’s plan is taking me in the complete opposite direction than the cardinal position I feel is the right path for me to take.

In His Word, God is telling me one thing. In the world, where I am called to answer His commands, I sense I am not pleasing Him even though I followed the breadcrumbs I was given during Bible study earlier.

I also pray fervently.

I pray so God can hear my voice and feel what’s in my heart. When I pray, I give praise to God and I lift up a request to the Almighty.

When I pray, I am closer to God. Through the immense power of prayer, I find inner peace.

“The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.”

James 5:16

In His word, God reveals there is a time to pray, to meditate with Him.

When I meditate with God, I spend time in my divine Father’s arms.

For me, meditating with God is achieved in many ways.

For example, I love sitting at the beach watching the waves roll over each other in the sand, along the Gulf beaches in Florida.

I also enjoy looking up at the stars, floating on a raft in the pool and, on my knees with my forehead on the ground in absolute worship and complete surrender to our Lord.

The idea is, to spend more time with God.

When you meditate with Him, you immediately seek a closer relationship with the One who created you for a purpose.

By faith, you extend a bridge.

I invite you to meditate with God, and invest time each day to dwell in Him through a time of peaceful prayer & thanksgiving.

Father God;
We thank you for your presence in our lives,
We praise you Lord for the wisdom found through David and
James, the brother of Jesus,
And we ask you Lord to help us find joy in your perfect plan.

Allow us to praise and love each other through faith in you Jesus,
Shield us from evil through your Word, salvation and prayer,
Guide us to abide by the truth as we spread the good news to one and all,
And lead the lost to You.

God we pray that you will continue to bless us,
To bless our lives and fill us with hope.
We ask you Lord to guide our footsteps and lead us to the way everlasting,
Through faith in you Lord we seek salvation and our place with you in Heaven
According to your ways, your everlasting wisdom and strength.

May your will be done, here on Earth and through the vast Universe,
May our hearts be filled with your everlasting love and grace.
Praises to You God, Amen!
