Jeremiah 29:11 Hope from Jesus

Jeremiah 29:11 Hope with Jesus

11 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

Seek Him, and He will provide.

Jeremiah 29:11

It’s been a rough couple of years around our great planet, and among seasoned believers, exemplifying our faith has become more challenging than ever.

One of the main challenges involves our outlook at Christians. The future is not nearly as promising as it has been for many generations.

In plain English, there is a lot less hope floating around and not nearly enough hope being shared in these troubled times.

In America for example, data collected before and during the Covid outbreak show a concise pattern of worse mental health outcomes, increased substance use and elevated suicidal tendencies among all age groups and across the full spectrum of races & cultures.

Fact is, there is a lot less hope since Covid showed up.

The problem with hope is, believers rely on material things or relationships as their go to. But when money runs out, or people fail us, we find our cup o’hope pretty much empty.

That’s why we should look to Jesus for hope. It’s the kind of hope that flows from a stream which never runs dry.

Look for hope in prayer that stems from gratitude. Seek hope in worship songs where the Lord’s name is magnified. And, sow seeds of hope along the path God has chosen for you, through sacrificial works where hope is poured onto you by those you serve.

All believers should seek hope in Jesus, whose love, grace and mercy are never ending and without measure.

111 “The Lord delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in his unfailing love.”

Psalm 147:11

Remember, God loves you, and His love will never run out, and He will never forsake you.

When you find yourself hopeless, when it’s pain you feel the most instead of the joy God has planned for you, then immerse yourself in prayer, in thanksgiving, in glorious worship and in Christ centered fellowship…

Father God;
We thank you for your presence in our lives,
We praise you Lord for the wisdom found through David,
And we ask you Lord to help us find joy in your perfect plan.

Allow us to praise and love each other through faith in you Jesus,
Shield us from evil through your Word, salvation and prayer,
Guide us to abide by the truth as we spread the good news to one and all,
And lead the lost to You.

God we pray that you will continue to bless us,
To bless our lives and fill us with hope.
We ask you Lord to guide our footsteps and lead us to the way everlasting,
Through faith in you Lord we seek salvation and our place with you in Heaven
According to your ways, your everlasting wisdom and strength.

May your will be done, here on Earth and through the vast Universe,
May our hearts be filled with your everlasting love and grace.
Praises to You God, Amen!
