Ephesians 6:1-3 Raising Godly Children

Ephesians 6:1-3 Raising Godly Kids

“Children, obey your parents because you belong to the Lord, for this is the right thing to do. ‘Honor your father and mother.’ This is the first commandment with a promise: If you honor your father and mother, ‘Things will go well for you, and you will have a long life on the earth.’ ”

Ephesians 6:1-3

Children are a blessing from God, and they are a measure to a man’s true wealth.

While raising kids has always been challenging, the Covid era is turning a taxing endeavor into an unpredictable marathon.

Today’s family is forced to adapt to a constantly changing world and more than ever, parenting has to be intentional.

When it comes to raising godly children through this pandemic, parents must consider the spiritual aspect of parenting.

Children who are invested in a daily spiritual program will be better equipped to resist temptation, slow to anger and able to rely on God to guide their decision making process when parents are not around.

Next, confidence is critical to children’s success.

Fact is, every child is unique and should be taught accordingly.

Each child is different with inherent values, skills and talents, and God loves and cherishes them.

“I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.”

3 John 1:4

God delights in His creation, and He loves His children.

Problem is, raising godly children who bring Him glory with their lives is not as easy as it sounds.

For starters, parents must lead by example, and not be different from what we are trying to teach our kids because children tend to mirror what they see, rather than listen to what we tell them.

So, it is essential for parents to walk our talk.

To raise godly children, we must exhibit proper values.

Pray with your children, dwell in God’s word and teach them what love is from the way you treat people.

Immerse your children in godly programs, surround them with Christian friends and dwell within a purpose driven community.

Monitor what your children play & watch online, supervise their conversations, get to know their friends, listen to their music and help them pick out clothes and outfits.

Be involved in your children’s lives, or someone else will…

Strive to honor God with your life, and lead by example.

Before you know it, your children will be following in your footsteps.

Father God;
We thank you for your presence in our lives,
We praise you Lord for the wisdom found through Paul,
And we ask you Lord to help us find joy in your perfect plan.

Allow us to praise and love each other through faith in you Jesus,
Shield us from evil through your Word, salvation and prayer,
Guide us to abide by the truth as we spread the good news to one and all,
And lead the lost to You.

God we pray that you will continue to bless us,
To bless our lives and fill us with hope.
We ask you Lord to guide our footsteps and lead us to the way everlasting,
Through faith in you Lord we seek salvation and our place with you in Heaven
According to your ways, your everlasting wisdom and strength.

May your will be done, here on Earth and through the vast Universe,
May our hearts be filled with your everlasting love and grace.
Praises to You God, Amen!
