Christ is risen… He is risen, indeed!

Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead, and that repentance and forgiveness of sins should be preached in his name to all nations.” (Luke 24:46-47)

What does that mean today? How can I apply His rising to my everyday life? Simple. Let Him rise within you not only this day but everyday! Jesus did not only fulfill this promise to His disciples, He wants to fulfill the same promise to all of us all of the time. The promise that He will rise from the dead and shine through the darkness.

I urge you to not let His life and death be in vain. His teachings are true today as they were almost two thousand years ago as He walked the earth among us. The new testament is not only a collection of books and letters from the men who knew the son of God, it is the instruction manual that comes with life itself. Without the Word we cannot live a purposeful life.

God made us not only to serve him but to follow in His son’s footsteps. His wish for us goes beyond a life of service, it requires us to find Christ within those around us for we are the essence, the body of Christ!

After His rising from the dead, “Jesus himself drew near and walked with the disciples. But their eyes were kept from recognizing him“. (Luke 24:15-16) As the body of Christ, He continues to live within each of us. Though it is not up to us to decide whether we can recognize Jesus or not when He walks among us, it is up to us to remember we are all part of God’s family.

Know that no one person is more important than another to God so long as we understand we were made by God and for God. Rebel against this reality and you will submit yourself to His wrath. Yet those who embrace His ways will live forever!

Go and spread the good word: Christ is risen… He is risen, indeed! He is risen within you, let His light shine bright so that all can see!

Let’s pray.

Father God;
We thank you Lord Father for your blessings in our lives
We praise you God for looking over us,
Each and every single day you walk among us
Keeping us safe, sound, fed, warm, and healthy.

Father we pray you will bless our relationships
And inspire those not yet walking into your light
To join your family and earn passage to eternal life.

Lord we ask you to continue to look after our families,
Our friends, and all those who seek you,
That you answer our prayers and lead our footsteps
So that we may follow you to Heaven.

Thank you lord father for all that surrounds us!

Praise God,
Amen!
